Military Fashion Trend Wear
by
I am usually not big on fashion trends that change every season, but I
have to admit, the wave of military inspired fashion, is pretty
persuasive. The trend has been on the runway for some time now in
different avatars. From Marc by Marc Jacobs to Burberry Prorsum, the
earthy palette of olive greens and burnished neutrals, along with lots
of smart utility features and clean cuts is a perfect complement to all
our autumn classics. The key to keeping military looks feminine is to
choose fitted pieces: it gives it more of a boy-meets-girl look than a
sloppy army surplus look. Although camo is around, it’s really the
khakis and olives that look freshest. on November 9, 2010 ·
Shirts
There are various ways of incorporating the trend in your wardrobe. The basic among these is a military shirt.A military trend shirt is a very versatile piece of clothing. You can tuck it in or leave it open. You can use it as an outer layer or wear it under a jacket. A military trend shirt can be used as formal wear or can be dressed down to make it look casual. This is the basic military inspired piece of clothing to be introduced in your wardrobe.
Pants
The next basic military trend item is a pair of trousers. It works for everyone as it suits all types of body frames. The most common type these days is of course skinny pants. These can be formal office wear types or distressed casual wear types. Camo printed cargos and capris were in for a long time now but the new thing in pants is olives and navy blue and khakis utility pants.Jackets
Another way of introducing the military trend in your wardrobe and rocking it is as military jackets. These are fall must haves! These can be of various types with different lengths, fabrics, cuts, embellishments and colours.Dresses
Depending on your body shape you can also choose from various kinds of military wear. The most common among these is the classic shirt dress. Just team it up with nude or brown platform wedges.Jumpsuits and Rompers
Jumpsuits, originally used by parachuters and skydivers are a great way of casually wearing utilitarian garments. Military inspired jumpsuits and rompers have become a rage world over. These can be worn with heels and a skinny belt.Skirts
The most feminine way of wearing the military trend is by wearing skirts. These can of solid military colours like. Or these can be camo printed. Military skirts ending just above the knee are more classy and smart than mini or long military skirts. You can team them up with white or beige formal shirt or plain black tshirt.Boots
This winters suede and leather boots are passé. Military boots are the new thing. They are smart and bulky yet feminine. These boots are meant to withstand bad weather and terrain so a good pair will last you forever. The basic laced design helps the boot fit snugly to your feet and the heavy sole gives a good grip.Accessories
Military inspired accessories are a huge hit this season. From aviators (think Tom Cruise in Top Gun) to badges, from bags to belts, these are everywhere..The trick to rock this trend is to choose wear that is military ‘inspired’ so that you don’t look like military personnel. Also, not everything in your attire should military wear. That will just be OTT. Choose your military accents wisely, mixing and matching between a tailored cargo skinny pants, broken-in combat boots, and other uncommon utilitarian extras.
